Bramble, often considered an invasive plant, produces blackberries:

Blackberries are very rich in various forms of vitamin B (except B12) and vitamin C (36 mg/100 g). They are eaten raw, on their own or in fruit salads. They are also used to make syrups, sorbets, jellies and jams. They freeze well. Fermentations produce an alcoholic beverage, crème de mûre , the base for a variant of kir, mulberry wine, vinegar or mulberry-flavored liqueurs.

Wild bramble honey can also be enjoyed for pleasure, as a culinary complement or be added to a drink or pie for its natural sweetness.

Wild blackberries are also very rich in health benefits, so consuming our bramble honey will help to maintain general well-being well-being. Thanks to the expectorant properties of wild blackberries, this honey would be considered good for bronchial tubes, like the herbal teas which it can also accompany with its natural sweetness.

Bramble honey has a real fruity, aromatic scent with a real blackberry taste! Which is really amazing!

Its taste, reminiscent of the scent, is quite strong, fruity, aromatic and woody. It is pleasant and persistent on the palate.

Reddish-amber in color, it lightens during crystallization. Beware of crystallization, which can be coarse and therefore not to some people’s liking!

What’s more, it’s not easy to store. This acidic honey tends to develop HMF quickly. It must therefore be kept at a constant temperature to avoid thermal shock.

The benefits of bramble honey :

Like all honeys, bramble honey has many virtues and benefits. Its high concentration of directly-assimilable sugars makes it an excellent energy-booster. It is tonic, energizing and diuretic. Its low PH makes it a honey with strong antibacterial and antifungal activity. It is also reputed to have a high concentration of vitaminsB1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and, of course, vitamin C.

This honey’s bechic properties are well proven! It is also effective in soothing sore throats and has a very interesting energizing effect.*

Bramble leaves were used in decoctions to relieve sore throats. So bramble honey is said to have the same properties as bramble leaves!
It is also said to slow down diarrhoea. Of course, I leave it up to you to find out for yourself!
