Our wildflower honey is harvested this year in Franche-Comté, the land of our beekeeper with whom we work closely. A French honey, this harvest from polyfloral nectars is a honey of character, with lighter colors and a pleasant floral flavor that will appeal to the whole family.

Its flowery, lingering flavor will be welcomed by gourmets. It will delight every culinary moment of their daily lives.

Our wildflower honey is ideal as a gustatory pleasure, but just as interesting as a natural sweetener or culinary complement. It has the ability to sweeten without altering the original taste of food. Which makes it a real asset!

As a snack, it’s perfect spread on pancakes. Thanks to its very fine crystallization, it can be pleasantly spread. It also goes well with herbal tea, or any other flowery flavor to be accompanied by sugar as part of a meal.

Harvested in Franche-Comté, mainly in the Territoire de Belfort, our polyfloral wildflower honey is made from the nectar of various mountain flowers. The bees forage in a totally wild environment.

Produced at an altitude of around 350 metres, these bite-sized wildflower honeys will add a touch of the great outdoors to all your gourmet moments!

The taste, smell and preservation of wildflower honey:

This honey keeps very well. Its crystallization is fine and slow. It has a flavor all its own, as does the setting in which it is harvested: not mountainous contrasts and steep cliffs, but gentle reliefs linked together by numerous meadows and wild forests. Its taste is reminiscent of its scent: pleasant and fragrant.

Honey lovers often appreciate the diversity it offers compared to mono-flower honeys, which are produced from the nectar of a single variety of flowers.

The properties of wildflower honey :

A thousand flowers, a thousand virtues. That’s one of its greatest assets! Like most honeys, it can be used on the skin for its soothing effects. In the event of a cut or couperose, and without suitable honey you can spread it on the skin. It can also be used as first aid. For sore throats, a teaspoon of this honey will soothe irritated throats. It can also be used in creams. And without breaking the bank. Mixed with a wax and a few drops of essential oil, it can be used as the base of an ointment for damaged hands.

Did you know?

Over a hundred varieties of wildflowers can be found on our sidewalks! But most wildflowers grow in our forests or on their edges. They can also all be cultivated in our gardens, like the black-eyed Susan, considered invasive! Or zinnias, known for their abundant blooms.
