Our old boys’ jam is made near Thonon-Les-Bains in Haute-Savoie. It’s an ideal accompaniment to cooked dishes, and perfect on toast in the morning.
This ancient jam, brought up to date by our local jam-maker, is a delight to the palate.
Did you know?
In the old days, it was made by chance: single men, not knowing how to make jam, would throw the leftover fruit into a jar with a little alcohol for preservation. Gradually, this became a ritual, and it became known as “old boys’ jam”.
