The latter blooms later and is harder to harvest. <\/p>\n<p>Pink heather blooms in summer and is widely harvested in the Landes region. But it can also be found in Haut-Languedoc and Brittany, of course. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a shrub with long branches and small pink flowers. It thrives in difficult soils where other plants cannot establish themselves. <\/p>\n<p>Harvesting heather honey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jardiner-malin.fr\/fiche\/erica-bruyere.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>\u00e9rica<\/strong> <\/a>is generally harvested between July and August. The bees use the nectar to produce a surprising honey, much appreciated by connoisseurs! <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also a decorative plant. This small, hardy plant adapts well to cliffs and moors, as well as pots and window boxes. Of course, it needs space and sun!  <\/p>\n<p>Depending on where they are harvested, heather honeys can have distinct taste characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lecomptoirdumiel.com\/en\/produit\/white-heather-honey-from-france\/\"><strong>heather honey<\/strong><\/a> can be eaten on its own or added to certain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lecomptoirdumiel.com\/du-miel-dans-votre-cuisine\/\"><strong>sweet or savory preparations<\/strong><\/a>such as dishes in sauce. Bakers also appreciate it, as they often use it in the preparation of gingerbread. <\/p>\n<p>It has a thick consistency and crystallizes quickly. It will be creamy or at least fine-grained. <\/p>\n<p>So it&#8217;s ideal on toast, for breakfast or a snack. Alternatively, take 1 spoonful of heather honey in the morning, plain or diluted in a drink. <\/p>\n<h2>The taste of ash heather honey:<\/h2>\n<p>This honey generally has an amber to dark color and a robust flavor. It can have floral, woody and sometimes slightly spicy notes. <\/p>\n<p>Its aroma is strong. Its taste is reminiscent of its scent: pronounced. What characterizes ash heather honey.  <\/p>\n<p>It is also classed as a honey with character. However, the slight taste of bitter almond that emerges on tasting is also appreciated by lovers of original honeys. It goes very well with teas and other infusions. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lecomptoirdumiel.com\/en\/produit\/organic-evening-tea-with-propolis-extract\/\"><strong>infusions<\/strong><\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an absolute honey to discover for all those who don&#8217;t know it yet!<\/p>\n<h2>The benefits of heather honey :<\/h2>\n<p>Heather has long been known as a magical plant, and with good reason! Its therapeutic virtues are numerous: <\/p>\n<p>Heather honey is recognized as being very rich in <strong>vitamins<\/strong> and <strong>minerals<\/strong>. It is tonic, remineralizing, antianemic, diuretic, depurative, antirheumatic and antiseptic. In short, all these properties make it considered active against urinary tract infections, among others. By providing mineral salts such as iron, it combats anemia. Reputed to be good against asthenia, it is also said to be effective against rheumatoid arthritis.    <\/p>\n<p>Specialists strongly recommend it for athletes and the elderly suffering from osteoporosis.
