Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) is a herbaceous plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It originated in the Mediterranean basin, but is now found all over the world. <\/p>\n

It is an aromatic plant<\/strong><\/a> commonly used in cooking and traditional medicine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There are many varieties of thyme, each with slightly different nuances of flavor and aroma. Some common varieties<\/strong><\/a> include common<\/strong> thyme, lemongrass thyme<\/strong><\/a>orange<\/strong> thyme, thyme serpolet<\/strong> etc.<\/p>\n

Our Wild Thyme honey<\/strong> is one of our selection of rare and original honeys. It is a specific white mountain thyme honey. <\/p>\n

It was harvested in 2024 in the Moncayo<\/strong> Regional Nature Park in the province of Aragon. Harvested at an altitude of over 1,000 meters<\/strong>, it draws its originality from its terroir. <\/p>\n

Thanks to our unique partnership with our beekeeper, we are able to present this honey every year.<\/p>\n

At cooking<\/strong><\/a>Wild thyme honey goes well with goat’s cheese. Combined with goat’s cheese, it brings out its succulent taste. It’s also perfect in recipes for puff pastries, stews and even desserts! It is excellent in verrines when mixed vigorously with fromage frais. Ideal in tagines too, thyme honey goes well with many Mediterranean dishes! It’s up to you to innovate! <\/p>\n

Its aromatic, herbal scent has a typical, fragrant, very fruity aroma.<\/p>\n

Thyme is used in aromatherapy thanks to the essential oils<\/strong> extracted from the plant’s leaves and flowers. So it’s fair to assume that the properties of the flower are also found in our nectar! <\/p>\n
