It is harvested in the desert south of Madagascar<\/strong><\/a>in Tul\u00e9ar. near the Fiherenana river.<\/strong><\/a> <\/p>\n

This former colonial trading post<\/strong><\/a> emancipated itself by welcoming all the populations of the region.<\/p>\n

Most of Tul\u00e9ar lies on the southern part of the Fiherenana<\/a> deltaic plain, made up of living or vegetated dunes, mangrove swamps mangrove swamps<\/strong><\/a>and alluvial accumulations. For some years now, the city has been spilling over onto the ancient dune massifs that line the delta. The Grand R\u00e9cif, a barrier reef<\/a> 18 km long and 3 km wide, extends out to sea. From the foreshore, a narrow continental platform slopes gently down to the open sea. <\/p>\n
