The jujube<\/strong> tree is a member of the date family. It originated in China, but is now found throughout the arid zones of the Middle East and the Mediterranean. It even grows in the south-western United States<\/strong>! <\/p>\n

Its geographical distribution means that jujube honey can be harvested in many parts of the world. We have selected this organic jujube honey thanks to our collaboration with a key player in Madagascar<\/strong> <\/a>Olivier Laurent and his itinerant honey factory<\/strong><\/a> This Belgian entrepreneur, who has lived in Madagascar for almost 30 years, has put beekeeping back on the map. Indeed, beekeeping had been abandoned since the embargo imposed by the EU. When the embargo was lifted in 2011, the vast majority of Madagascans<\/strong> were able to lift themselves out of poverty, thanks to the support of NGOs. <\/p>\n

What does organic Jujube honey taste like?<\/h1>\n

Significantly different from jujube honey harvested around the Mediterranean, our ORGANIC jujube honey is more present. It is not as dry and round in the mouth. It has to be said that the Malagasy climate has something to do with it: it’s much more humid, which means that the honeys it produces are a little wetter too! Its characteristic caramelized taste is nonetheless very present! <\/p>\n

What are the properties of organic Jujube honey?<\/h2>\n

Jujube honey is said to have a thousand and one virtues: like many honeys, it is an excellent healing agent<\/strong> <\/a>. It is said to be effective against anemia<\/strong> <\/a>and on the digestive system. It is said to have anti-inflammatory properties<\/strong><\/a>. In any case, this ORGANIC jujube honey leaves no one indifferent. Be careful not to use metal spoons, which inhibit the honey’s properties! <\/p>\n
